Welcome to the American Idol Challenge!!!

So, I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with some kind of challenge that would be unique, but fun and challenging, too. On my way to work the other night I was thinking American Idol will be starting up again soon. Then it came to me, American Idol = Challenge Idea!

So, here's the basic idea I had.

Starting date = American Idol start date (sometime in January 2009)

Ending date = American Idol end date

The idea of this challenge is to read a total of 3 books during this time. No, not about American Idol necessarily, but about music. They can be biographies or autobiographies about musicians or singers, or just something that has music as a main part of the plot or even something musical sounding in the title. That is for TWO of the books.

Okay, so that part's not that hard. Now for the real part of the challenge.

You must read ONE book BY or ABOUT one of the following:

Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, or Ryan Seacrest

So, that doesn't sound so hard, does it?

I even found a "Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul" book. Boy they make those things about anything now, don't they? Extra credit if you read this one! LOL

Good luck and have fun with it!

Mr. Linky to follow.

Here's a few suggestions for the first part of the challenge:

Love is a Mix Tape by Rob Sheffield
A Freewheelin' Time by Suze Rotolo
The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band by Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars & Nikki Sixx
The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star by Nikki Sixx
Slash by Slash & Anthony Bozza
I'm With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie by Pamela Des Barres & Dave Navarro
Walk This Way: The Autobiography of Aerosmith by Aerosmith & Stephen Davis

Here's a few suggestions I hunted up that would work great for the 2nd part of the challenge:
